The metal salt pan was painted with a mix of pure black, Charred Brown and Panzer Grey which I stippled on with an old hogshair brush. The lighter weathering was done by adding Elf Flesh to the mix and applying it with a make-up sponge. I was looking for a well-worn and aged black which will be further weathered later on in the build.
I was particularly careful not to over-do the highlighting as I was looking for a hyper-realistic finish rather than an over-the-top or excessively drybrushed finish.
The interior was painted in a slightly darker black/brown colour.
