Looking forward to 2022

2021 was not the best of years but we did get through it and we are looking forward to 2022 with a little more optimism.

At this time of year I like to write about my plans for the coming year and try to highlight different projects I have or am going to be working on.

Magazine Articles;

In 2021 I had various articles published in Miniature Wargames, Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy and Wargames Illustrated as well as Narrow Gauge World. I can confirm that there will be more of the same and I will be posting details on the blog as and when they are published.

Book Sales;

I have seen a marked increase in sales of Wargames Terrain & Buildings - The Napoleonic Wars as well as selling out of the self published book Dampfpanzerwagon Guide No. 3 - Models For Wargamers. Thank you to everyone who has supported me by picking up a copy/copies.

Model Railway Layout;

I've promised the grandchildren that I will spend more time working on the railway layout - The Yellow Pelican Mining Co. so expect updates once I have the time and the room to work on it.

Miniature Painting;

I have been inspired to paint and convert a number of minis for the new rule set The Silver Bayonet and while there have been a number of different posts recently, I plan to continue posting details of my various Silver Bayonet themed projects, which will include themed terrain. converting miniatures and painting figures. the Silver Bayonet has been a real 'kick in the butt' for me allowing me to revisit my Flintloque collection and search through my bits box for suitable models to convert and paint.

I have included this image of my Dwarf Prussians searching for werewolves. I think it might be a case of werewolves searching for Dwarf Prussians!

I'll keep you updated with regular posts detailing my various projects, but for now, Happy New Year and stay safe.

Tony

  1. Great stuff, another of my gaming chums has also repurposed some Flintloque figs for use in Silver Bayonet, which then reminded me that I had a few boxes laying about to ddig through!
