Flintloque Dwarf Landwehr - starting to paint

Part Nine

In a change from my usual painting process, I started with the grey uniform colour, which was mixed from both grey and brown. The colour was slightly darker than the colour shown on this illustration as I thought I could always add additional highlights later.

Once the grey/brown was dry, I painted the flesh areas in my Snakebite Leather base colour and highlighted by adding Flesh and white to the mix before washing with a Flesh wash. With over 50% of the minis being grey - I am sure that this was the right order to paint these dour Dwarf Landwehr.

Tony, don't suppose you have any more sets of the Princess Juliana Chasseur minis for sale do you? I have been waiting to see if any ever come up o ebay, but they never seem to? Love these Landswehr conversions, they are very characterful.

I do have some spare minis - I will check my un-painted stash and see if there are any I could sell-on.

E-mail me direct on dampfpanzerwagon(at)yahoo.co.uk in a couple of days and I'll get back to you.

I have checked my spares and I have 12 spare minis, but having found them, I just can't bring myself to sell them. They have too many memories.

Sorry.
