The 2p coin base has been painted in a close approximation of the old GW Snakebite Leather colour which I mixed up myself. This has then been drybrushed with a slightly lighter tone and individual stones picked out in grey. Prior to this image being taken, I have 'washed' the whole base with a dark Sepia wash to add some shadows around the miniatures feet and stones.
The next steps will be varnishing and then adding some static grass.
