My latest watercolours

These are photos of my latest two watercolours. Both were painted as personalised wedding presents of the churches that each was married at.

The first is of St Michael and all Angels Church at Salwarpe, near Droitwich, Worcestershire.

The second is of St Peters Church, Droitwich, Worcestershire.

For those interested, I use artists quality, acid free paper and Winsor and Newton watercolour tube paint.

Thank you for the comments. I have been drawing and painting since I was in school. In 2006, I enrolled in a watercolour course based in Worcester and stuck with it for two years, however work commitments at the time meant that I was missing at least one lesson in three.

I try to paint at least one watercolour every two months, but really need to be producing more to improve.

These two paintings were prompted by the weddings - I never know what to give as wedding presents and these are personal, being images of the churches that these two couples got married at.

My technique is to work from photographs, in pencil and 'wash' or tint the images. I intend using pen and ink at some stage.

Once again thank you for the kind comments.

Hi Tony,
nice work, I can recommend Staedtler pigment liners pens, they come in a range of sizes 0.1 up, you can use ink/water colour over the top with out bleeding.
I think they were £2.99

All the best
