Bombardier Bedford has died

Late yesterday I heard the very sad news that the great Rik Mayall had passed away at the age of 56. To a whole generation Rik will be remembered for his comic performances and acting roles, but to me it has to be the Charles Wells Bombardier adverts that I will always associate him with. For details go to this link.

The beer advert had such an impact on me, that I sculpted this Flintloque Very Limited Edition miniature of the character, a figure that is still currently available from Alternative Armies VLE12 Villiam Bedforc the Bombardier, see this link and this link.

Rest in peace, Rik and thank you for ALL the fond memories. You will be missed.

I grew up on The Young Ones, Blackadder and Bottom. He'll be sorely missed indeed.

Wow! What a shock! He was such a great comedian. It's a great loss.

Thank you bringing the Bombadier to my attention. Great character and an actor I'll miss.

He's entertained me still today :)
