I have drybrushed and 'scrubbed' the stonework with various Greys and Creams. I think it is looking a little too stark at this point, but I will be 'washing' the model with various pale greys and earth colours once the roof is painted. I have tried to use a technique called 'extreme highlighting' (see the area around the main Barn doors) on some of the prominent stones which I think has worked well.
Although these photos do not show it, the various Black, Dark Brown and Cream basecoat colours have come through the first drybrushing and give the stone colour a 'warmer' tone.Tony
