Flintloque/Silver Bayonet cross over project - part thirty

This is an Ogre Vampire Hunter for my Flintloque/Silver Bayonet cross over project. The original resin model was picked up earlier this year from Alternative Armies. For more information see this link.

I have modified the mini with a scratch built blunderbuss, a new hat and a huge wooden mallet.

The blunderbuss fires wooden stakes, the mallet is for pounding these stakes into the Vampires heart and the bandoleer of garlic is for protection. Finally we have a silver crucifix tucked into his hatband. Basically everything a Vampire Hunter needs in one model.

The model was mounted on to a 2p coin with the groundwork built up with Milliput, sieved stones and sand before being undercoated in a dark brown basecoat.

Painting progressed in layers with drybrushing and washes.

The final image shows the varnished and decorated Vampire Hunter Ogre alongside a Flintloque RifleOrc for scale.

The model was great fun to convert, including all the traditional Vampire Hunter tools and accoutrements for him to track and kill agents of the night.

Thank you.

Flintloque was one of my first loves and continues to be a mainstay of my modelling and figure painting hobby.

I wish you good luck with your own sculpting and should you ever need any help, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
